Scott, WI (June 27, 2024) – Police said that one person died following a crash Thursday, June 27,  on northbound Wisconsin Highway 57 at Gerzek Road, in the Town of Scott.

Deputies and firefighters responded around 12:20 p.m. to a report of a two-vehicle crash with injuries. The sheriff’s office says a preliminary investigation shows a 1996 Ford Crown Victoria driven by a 49-year-old man from the Town of Scott was traveling southbound on STH 57 when the vehicle collided with a 2024 Ford Edge traveling northbound, driven by a 65-year-old man from Arizona.

The driver of the Ford Crown Victoria was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Ford Edge and a 60-year-old woman passenger were transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital for medical treatment. No other information is available at this time, and the cause of the accident remains under investigation. In addition, officers have not provided details on whether citations or charges are pending.
