Milwaukee, WI (November 10, 2024) – A 5-year-old boy died over the weekend following a car crash Friday night on Milwaukee's northwest side, according to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office.

The fatal crash occurred around 8:00 p.m. Friday on the 8100 block of West Hampton Avenue, according to the Milwaukee Police Department. A 34-year-old driver of the vehicle was traveling westbound on West Hampton Avenue and collided with two vehicles vehicles and a tree before coming to a stop.

The 34-year-old driver was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and then into custody. The Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office will review the charges. However, no other information has been released.. Police have not provided additional details thus far, though witnesses were asked to step forward as soon as possible.
