Kronenwetter, WI (June 12, 2024) – The Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigations is investigating an officer-involved incident from Tuesday, June 11, in Kronenwetter.

According to a release from the Department of Justice, a Kronenwetter police officer attempted a traffic stop near Maple Ridge Road and I-39 at about 7:25 p.m. Initial information states that one vehicle was going southbound in the northbound off ramp of I-39, the wrong way, before it hit a northbound semi-truck head on. It forced officials to close I-39 northbound lanes from the Central Wisconsin Airport exit to Maple Ridge Road. Two people suffered serious injuries, but no further details were provided.
