Buchanan, WI (September 13, 2024) – Authorities in Outagamie County  reported that a 19-year-old woman has passed away as a result of the collision between her motorcycle and a semi-truck on Tuesday evening, September 10.

Deputies responded to reports of a collision at the intersection of County Road CE and County Road GG in the Town of Buchanan at 5:45 p.m., according to a release from the Outagamie County Sheriff's Office.

A semi-tractor trailer vehicle was traveling south on County Road GG when it attempted to cross the intersection at County Road KK. The truck was struck by a motorcycle traveling west on County Road CE, according to officials on the scene. The motorcyclist, a 19-year-old woman from Brillion, was declared deceased at the scene. The collision did not result in any injuries to the 27-year-old driver of the semi-tractor.

Per deputies, the intersection was closed for approximately four and a half hours. Despite the fact that it has since reopened, an investigation into the  incident is still ongoing. The Outagamie County Sheriff's Office is also requesting that anyone who may have witnessed or has information regarding the incident contact them.
