Barron County, WI (October 3, 2024) – One person died after a car accident near Cameron on Sunday.
Around 3:00 p.m., deputies with the Barron County Sheriff's Department and Marshfield and Cameron emergency personnel responded to a two-vehicle crash on County Road W at 19th Street. Both County Road W and 19th Street were closed for a few hours.
The crash involved a car and a motorcycle driven by Jerry Rogers, 63, of Barron. Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said the driver was treated and released at the scene. Rogers was pronounced dead at the scene. That said, crash and cause remain under investigation by the Barron County Sheriff's Department and is being reconstructed by the Wisconsin State Patrol. No further details were released as the inquiry remains ongoing.
