Wausau, WI (October 21, 2024) – According to officers with the Wausau Police Department, one person is dead and another person is injured following a crash between a motorcycle and a minivan on Sunday, October 20.

Per a release from the Wausau Police Department, officers, along with firefighters, responded at around 4:25 p.m. for reports of a crash at the South 3rd Avenue and Rosecrans Street intersection. Police say a motorcycle and a minivan were involved in the crash but did not say what led to the crash.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 49-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene and a 44-year-old passenger of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital via ambulance. The minivan was said to have five people inside none of whom were reported to have been injured in the crash. No other information is available at this time and an investigation into the incident by the Wausau Police Department is ongoing. Witnesses were asked to step forward.
