Milwaukee, WI - One Dead in Hit-and-Run at Water & Market Sts

Milwaukee, WI (August 12, 2024) – The Milwaukee Fire Department and local officers say a man is dead after a hit-and-run crash at Water and Market Streets downtown Milwaukee.


The incident happened just before 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 11. The Milwaukee Police Department said the 32-year-old man was walking in the street when he was struck by a vehicle traveling north and left the scene. The man's family identified the victim as Marcus Robinson.


According to the medical examiner's report Robinson was with two other people when the crash happened. It says a car speeding northbound struck and killed him. Though no additional information was disclosed, an investigation is still ongoing in the meantime. Witnesses were asked to contact officers with the Milwaukee Police Department if they had additional information to report.
