Herman, WI (June 21, 2024) – Police reported that two Wisconsinites were killed after a major four-vehicle crash on State Highway 33 on Wednesday afternoon.
According to a release, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a multi-vehicle crash on State Highway 33 with serious injuries in the town of Herman shortly after 1:00 p.m. A preliminary investigation of the crash indicates that a 17-year-old Mayville boy crossed over the center line and hit a pickup truck driven by an 84-year-old Hustisford man. The pickup was then hit by a following eastbound vehicle driven by a 71-year-old Shorewood man. A fourth car, driven by a 43-year-old Kewaskum woman, was also involved.
Emergency service personnel helped extricate the 84-year-old Hustisford man and his passenger, a 79-year-old Hustisford woman. Life-saving measures were attempted, but both died at the scene of the crash. The 71-year-old man was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the 17-year-old Mayville boy and the 43-year-old Kewaskum woman were both evaluated at the scene. However, officers are still investigating and have not provided details on whether citations or charges are pending.
