Eau Claire, WI (October 7, 2024) – A 66-year-old man from rural Eau Claire is dead following a car versus bicycle crash on Friday, per local authorities.

According to the Eau Claire County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened at the W6200 block of Town Hall Road in the Township of Brunswick. The victim and another person were riding their bikes east on Town Hall Road when an eastbound vehicle struck the victim from behind.

Responders attempted life-saving measures when they arrived but were not successful, and the medical examiner pronounced the victim dead at the site. However, the identities of those involved have not been released. Though no additional information was disclosed, witnesses were asked to contact officers with the Eau Claire Police Department if they had additional information to report.
