Clayton, WI (May 15, 2024) – Authorities are naming the person who died following a motorcycle crash that occurred on Sunday. According to an updated press release from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the person who died in this crash was 53-year-old Richard Johnson of Almena.

Per the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, a call was received at 8:15 p.m. on Sunday evening of a motorcycle crash on Highway D, west of State Highway 63 in the Town of Clayton. The press release states an eastbound motorcycle was involved in a collision with at least one other vehicle on County Highway D. The driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on scene. EMTs assessed others at the scene for moderate injuries, though their current conditions were unknown. No further details were released, and an investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
