Brunswick, WI (October 14, 2024) – Per the latest reports released by local authorities, the victim of a vehicle versus bicycle collision in Eau Claire County has been identified.

Michael Wise, 66, of rural Eau Claire, was named as the victim of the crash over the weekend. The Eau Claire County Sheriff's Office confirmed that they were called to a car-bicycle crash in the Town of Brunswick on Friday at the W6200 block of Town Hall Road. When the authorities arrived, they attempted life-saving measures on Wise, but he was ultimately declared deceased a short time later.

The victim and another individual were riding their bicycles east on Town Hall Road when they were struck from behind by a car that was also traveling east, according to officials.
