Albion, WI (May 17, 2024) – The Dane County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) confirmed that one person died in a motor vehicle accident that took place in the town of Albion on May 17. The crash happened near the intersection of State Highway 73 and Edgerton Road, east of Interstate 90.

The DCSO stated the deceased was a 39-year-old passenger in one of the two vehicles involved. News footage from the scene showed first responders arriving from both Dane and Rock Counties.  According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, the incident happened before 9:00 p.m., closing down both lanes of the roadway.
