Juneau County, WI (July 17, 2024) – The Wisconsin Department of Transportation stated that one person died, and at least one other person was injured as a result of a motor vehicle rollover crash that took place on Wednesday morning. 

Authorities added that the crash occurred on Interstate 90 eastbound at the 68 mile marker. All eastbound lanes were closed for several hours at exit 61/Highway 80 in New Lisbon. The Wisconsin State Patrol was conducting the reconstruction and crash investigation at the scene, per officials. Originally, State Patrol Sergeant Brian Zaemisch confirmed that a driver was seriously injured and another person had life-threatening injuries. Ultimately, one of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene.

At least one other person suffered serious injuries requiring hospitalization, but no further details were provided about their identities or their current conditions. The cause of the crash remains under investigation at this time. However, witnesses were asked to come forward as soon as possible.
